Integrated Medical Approach
I employ an integrated medical approach to eye care, utilizing the latest medical technologies combined with my extensive knowledge and experience to offer the best patient care possible. My method involves a thorough assessment of the eye’s condition to make well-informed recommendations tailored to each patient’s needs.
Commitment to Learning
As a lifelong learner, I consistently exceed the continuing education requirements for optometrists, ensuring I maintain the highest standards of practice. I am fascinated by the complexity of the visual process and gain a deeper understanding with every patient I treat, continually enhancing my comprehension of how vision impacts our daily lives.
Education and Certifications
I am a proud alumnus of the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry, where I received rigorous clinical training in optics and contact lenses. I have trained at a disease-focused eye clinic in Florida, achieving full therapeutic certification to treat and manage eye diseases in both Canada and the United States.
My journey included observing cancer in infants’ eyes and managing age-related eye disease treatments for the elderly. I have earned a fellowship with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and completed hundreds of hours in courses and certifications with the Canadian Optometrists in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation, Optometric Extension Program, and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association.
